Accessibility and Security

Litter is connected at Sangam to Srinagar-Jammu National Highway and is located at a distance of 45 kms from Srinagar. The village is approximately 15 kms away from the Pulwama town. It is situated on the banks of Rambi Ara stream, which emanates from the nearby glaciers of the Pirpanjal Mountain Range. The place is surrounded by small villages like Alliepora, Hagidarpora, Nillora, Zahid Bagh, Tangpeth, Choudary Bagh and Rajpora. Litter can be accessed from two main directions, one from the Srinagar-Jammu Highway via Sangam in Anantnag and another via the Pulwama town itself. However, most of people visiting the town prefer accessing it from Sangam as it is the most convenient.

The main road leading to Litter is partly macadamized and the rest are not in a very good condition. 15-20 households have landline telephones installed in their homes. The mobile service providers like Aircel, Airtel, Vodafone, BSNL are all operative in this area.

Internet can also be accessed in Litter. Today Litter is by and large secure. There is a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp situated in Peslipora, which is a village adjacent to Litter.
