People And Occupation Of Naranag Village
The people of Naranag are agrarian based with maize as their prime crop. The entire population of Naranag is about 1500 Souls, of which mostly are Gujjar Muslims. Gujjars are the highland inhabitants of Kashmir Valley.
The Gujjar community of the valley has a different lifestyle and culture from the general Kashmiri population of the valley. They speak Gojari and their dress comprises loose fitting clothes with elaborate head gear for women.
